Condolence - Master SN Hari Prasad

On behalf of Shree Sanatan Dharm Sabha of NSW Inc and on behalf of my own family; I want to express my deepest sympathy to the Prasad family, at the passing of Pundit S. N. Hari Prasad an exceptional human being.

Shri Prasad was a loving father and grand father and great grans father; he was a distinguished teacher, educationist and spiritual leader.

He dedicated his whole life to community service and to the improvement of mankind.

Mr Prasad never had a bad word for anyone, he was very humble and approachable, and he mastered the Hindu religion by research and dedication.

Masterji’s death is a profound loss to the Hindu community and indeed to all Indians, he was a man of immense energy and he continued to educate and reform our people right until the last few days of his glorious life.

Mr Prasad’s contribution to the Navtarang newspaper was skillfully written and was a must read for all intelligent people. He led a life of self sacrifice and he never hesitated to help those in need. He was friend who loved mankind.

He was a truly great man and it is only befitting to repeat the words of Prime Minister Nehru said on the passing of Gandhi “Friends and Comrades, the light has gone out of our lives and there is darkness everywhere. Our beloved leader, Bapu as we called him, the Father of the Nation, is no more. Perhaps I am wrong to say that. Nevertheless, we will never see him again as we have seen him for these many years. We will not run to him for advice and seek solace from him, and that is a terrible blow, not to me only, but to millions and millions in this country. And it is a little difficult to soften the blow by any other advice that I or anyone else can give you”.

Every word of Nehru applies to Pundit S N Hari Prasad, a distinguished leader and reformer, we will never forget. Pundit Ji has gone; left us forever but much richer for he like a true guru gave us knowledge and wisdom, the eternal truths, reminding us of the right path, drawing us from error, taking us to the highest form of God consciousness.

May god bless his great soul and give his loved ones the strength to overcome this great loss but with the thought that he is now one with God in a state of Nirvana or Moksh.
